Nida's BOUTIQ Invitations on My Fair Wedding

Nida’s Boutiq Invitations had the honor of producing printed materials for two episodes of this season’s My Fair Wedding, hosted by David Tutera on WeTV. We were asked to contribute our services toward the show and it was awesome working with David and designing stationery that he would ultimately approve for the show. The first episode in which Nida’s BOUTIQ produced stationery aired last Sunday and is already in rotation on WeTV. The couple’s names are Shelby and Matt and their theme was Safari. There were overtones of Zebra prints and all things safari. The wedding and reception was held at Rancho Las Lomas,in Orange County, CA, the perfect venue for their theme. It might be hard to believe, but the venue is actually home to Zebras, Tigers and other safari animals. It was everything this couple needed to drive home the theme they chose. To embellish the tables we created elegant table numbers, place cards, menus and programs, all accentuated with zebra prints and corresponding colors of Shelby and Matt’s wedding. If you can't make it this Saturday, perhaps Monday night, 9/14/09, at the Wedding Salon Bridal Show, London Hotel, West Hollywood, CA 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm (this is an evening show). We're thinking about having dinner at Chef Gordon Ramsay's restaurant which is located at the London Hotel.

We exhibited at a host of bridal shows wherein we met thousands of new prospects.
BrideWorld http://brideworld.com continues to deliver on their shows and packs in a host of brides-to-be everytime.

The Great Bridal Expo http://greatbridalexpo.com hosts only a couple shows a year in Orange County, however, they generate impressive numbers each time and it has been a pleasure exhibiting with them.

In February we exhibited at an upscale bridal show at The Resort at Pelican Hill at Newport Coast in Orange County. Festival of Brides http://festivalofbrides hosted the show and it was utterly amazing. We applaud them for a job well done. We will be attending their show in January 2010 at the Montage Resort which is right down the street from us. We can’t wait!

We signed on to attend a show with Wedding Salon http://weddingsalon.com at the London Hotel, West Hollywood. Wedding Salon is also an upscale promoter that pushes the boundaries of traditional bridal shows. They feature the crème-de-la-crème of bridal vendors and we are honored to have been asked to attend this year.

Last year our Christmas card business was amazing. We had the pleasure of helping several families share Christmas cheer and holiday wishes with elegant cards that warmed the hearts and delighted the eyes of each recipient. Where do I begin??? After a long break away from blogging we are back and ready to let everyone know what we've been up to for the last year. We celebrated our one year anniversary at my store in Laguna Beach. Very exciting to be taking on our second year at this location. It has been a tremendous honor to watch each couple cross the threshold of our doors and order invitations from us. Lots of very hard work during the very critical first year and many thanks to all involved in making it a huge success, but none more than the entrusting couples who allowed us to take a small part in their very special occasion.

Kristin and Scott

Kristin and Scott are such an attractive couple. They will be getting married this year in Rhode Island. Kristin and Scott met during a high school variety show where they were dance partners. What attracted Kristin most about Scott was his sense of humor, his charm and that he was accepting of her just as she is. What attracted Scott most about Kristen was her curly hair. “I just love them,” he says. Something that few people know about Kristin is that she was Miss Massachusetts 2005 and she competed in the 2006 Miss America Pageant. As for Scott, few people know that he is an engineer. He does not come across as one. When it comes to food, Kristin’s weakness is chocolate and mint chocolcate chip ice cream with gummie bears and bananas. Scott’s weakness is pizza and anything from In-n-Out Burger. Something that Kristin and Scott have in common is that they love to travel and take vacations. In their spare they enjoy snowboarding, movies and relaxing with each other at home. Kristin and Scott, best wishes for a wonderful wedding celebration. New Invitation Design

Under normal circumstances sample invitations are created after the formalities have been completed and an agreement is in place. However, I was speaking with a prospective client on the phone and as she explained the colors that she wanted I immediately envisioned a new design that I was pretty sure she would love once completed. After a couple of iterations on the design this is what I came up with. She loved it and chose the 2 invitations below for her wedding. I have since met with other clients who saw the design concept and fell in love with it for their own invitations.

Keisha and Gregg

I met Keisha and her son Landon at a bridal expo at the Bonaventure hotel. Landon is 2 years old and he is soooo adorable. Keisha and her fiancé Gregg are getting married May 24th, 2008 in San Pedro, CA. One of Keisha’s greatest accomplishments in life is becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) and Gregg’s greatest accomplishment is being drafted to the NFL (and graduating college) with the extreme pleasure of achieving these goals while his great-grandmother was alive. Something that Keisha has always wanted to do is speak Spanish fluently and learn to deliver sign language. She would put her skills to work at church signing (not singing) for the choir since, in fact, she says that she is not a very good singer. One of Gregg’s desires is to speak Italian fluently. (Yes, that’s at least 3 languages in the family…) Something that Keisha and Gregg have in common is they love to try new restaurants and they both enjoy meeting new friends. In their spare time they like to watch movies and eat popcorn together, travel to new destinations and go dancing. On another note, Keisha is known to have great taste in things. Congratulations Keisha and Gregg. Best wishes to both of you.

Leha and Shawn

I am so excited to be producing wedding invitations for Leha and Shawn. They are getting married May 24, 2008 in Stanton, CA. A little bit about the celebrated couple… Leha and Shawn met in high school where they became good friends. But clearly being ‘just friends’ was not enough for these two as they later became high school sweethearts. As their friendship blossomed and their relationship matured it became quite obvious that these two were made for each other and they have now chosen to exchange vows in marriage. When they first met, what attracted Leha most about Shawn was his sense of humor and what attracted Shawn most about Leha was her personality and that she was fun to be around. In Leha’s spare time she enjoys hitting the malls and going shopping. When Shawn has spare time he enjoys having some downtime, relaxing and reading. Something that Leha and Shawn have in common is that they both enjoy watching movies and hanging out with friends. You asked for it and now you've got it! I always planned to accept credit card payments, but with a busy schedule and projects I just had not gotten around to setting it all up. Clearly this was a need that I had to fulfill 'now' to make doing business with my company easy and convenient for everyone. Launch of Nida's BOUTIQ Invitations

I am so excited about the launch of Nida's BOUTIQ Invitations. What an amazing journey it has already been. Lots of work but definitely worth it and very gratifying. Within weeks of announcing our launch, we received several orders for wedding invitations, and they're continuing to roll in. YES!!! I have always wanted to share my talents and creativity with others and I am so honored that my clients have entrusted me to do so by partaking in such a personal, intimate event in their lives....their wedding celebration.
